Terms of service

Last updated 13 October 2026

The plain-English rules for using Forekort. They’re short on purpose; if anything isn’t clear, ask us.

  1. 1. About these terms

Forekort is run by the business that runs Forekort ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between us and the business that signs up for Forekort ("you"). By starting a trial or a plan, you agree to them on behalf of your business.

  2. 2. Your account

The person who signs up is the account owner. You’re responsible for everyone you invite, for keeping sign-ins private, and for the information your team puts into Forekort.

Your plan includes up to 5 people. Each person needs their own sign-in; don’t share one.

  3. 3. Free trial

Your free trial lasts 14 days and doesn’t need a card. If you haven’t chosen a plan when it ends, your account pauses (see section 6).

  4. 4. Plans and payment

Forekort costs $79 a month or $790 a year, in Australian dollars, including GST. You pay in advance for each month or year, and your plan renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we don’t see or store your full card number.

Your plan includes 150 reminder texts a month; unused included texts don’t carry over. You can buy extra texts (100 for $10). Extra texts are used once the month’s included texts run out and don’t expire while your account is open, but they aren’t refundable (except where the law requires) and end when your account is closed.

If we change our prices, we’ll email the account owner at least 30 days before the change applies to you.

  5. 5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. Forekort keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and isn’t charged again after that.

We don’t refund part-used months or years, except where the law requires it.

  6. 6. Failed payments and paused accounts

If a payment fails, we’ll email you and keep your account running for 7 days while you update your card. After that, or when a trial or a cancelled plan ends, your account pauses: nobody can open it and no reminders are sent. Choosing a plan restarts it.

We keep a paused account’s data for at least 60 days, after which we may delete it. Export anything you want to keep before then.

  7. 7. Your data

Your stock, leads, customers and messages belong to your business. You give us permission to store and use them only to run Forekort for you, to support you, and to keep the service secure.

You can export your data at any time. You’re responsible for having the right to put your customers’ details into Forekort, and for handling them in line with Australian privacy law. Our Privacy Policy explains how we look after information.

  8. 8. Messages to your customers

Reminders are sent in your business’s name, and you’re the sender. You must only message people who have consented to hear from you (for example, existing customers who’d reasonably expect service reminders), as the Spam Act 2003 requires.

Every reminder includes a way to opt out, and Forekort stops messaging anyone who does. Don’t remove or work around it, and don’t use Forekort to send marketing, unlawful, misleading or offensive messages.

We may pause messaging for your account if we receive complaints or our providers ask us to, and we’ll tell you why.

  9. 9. Fair use

    • Don’t try to access other businesses’ data, break or overload the service, or get around its limits.
    • Don’t use Forekort for anything unlawful, or resell it without our written agreement.
    • Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to use.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, after telling you unless it’s urgent.

  10. 10. The service

We work hard to keep Forekort running and your data safe, and we back it up regularly, but we can’t promise it will never be unavailable or error-free. We may improve or change features over time; if we remove something important to how you use Forekort, we’ll tell you first.

Some parts of Forekort rely on other providers (for example, phone networks for texts). We aren’t responsible for their delays or failures, but we’ll help where we can.

  11. 11. Your rights under Australian law

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded.

Otherwise, and as far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or sales), and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, it’s limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.

  12. 12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email the account owner at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.

  13. 13. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. Questions? Email help@forekort.com.
